Topic 1
Chewed Paper

We looked at how different artists (contemporary and traditional) use paper as art material. We experiment with methods such as Papier-mâché, drawing, automatic painting, book making, sculpture, installation, animation, and performance.

Topic 2
Photo-graphy

We looked at how different artists (contemporary and traditional) use photographic methods, such as conventional digital photography, prints, alternative photography, installation, film, photo books, internet art, performance to camera, photojournalism, and architecture.

Based on artist Erwin Wurm’s performance to camera practice: 'One Minute Sculptures' (1997), students used digital camera to creat their own interpretation of ‘One Minute Sculptures’.

An art picnic

We worked with the concept of “MAPPING” using cyanotype photographic printing techniques and the artworks you have created in the workshop. As a group, we created a large fabric canvas with the photographic printing method.

Students also created their own artwork using cyanotype photographic method.
